so, now that the jack plates came in, (finally!) how do I wire them up? Question

I have a downloaded schematic that shows me how to wire up one 4x12 cab, but how does the other input jack on the same jackplate get wired up to accept a second cab?

I'm wiring them in series/parallel. 4x 8ohm speakers.

2 input jack jack plate:

Is there a "jumper wire" from the (ring), (negative), of the first input jack, to the second input jacks (ring), (negative), terminals, and the same for the (tip), (positive) terminals?

Or try the library, or Barnes and Noble........Good luck.

What is the impedance of the amplifier head? Tube or SS?

If it is 4 ohms, two 8 ohm cabinets will work great if it is 8 ohms it will get very hot (for a short while).

You will wire the other jack in parallel to the first. (Pos to Pos and Neg to Neg)

If you have two cabinets plugged together, the load at the single cable will be <4ohms. If you have a meter, plug in the cables and test the "ohms" at the cable end. This will verify that all your wiring is good.

If you still need help, PM me and I'll walk you through it.
