I just bought a used cabinet from "ASI" that I really bought to play with as it was only $80.
It has that Fender M80 type of fuzzy gray carpet covering, wheels and handles. Construction is REALLY cheap, only 2 drywall screws per 12" speaker holding them in to a pressed board exterior, the back is glued, not screwed on, and it has cheezy 12" round metal screens instead of a full front speaker cover.
The rub? It sounds REALLY good through my animal Peavey VTM120, better than another cabinet I have with 4x12 Celestion 70 watt speakers.
Here's my Q. Does anyone know who made the unlabeled speakers or what their rated wattage may be? I doubt it would take the full brunt of my Peavey, but could it handle half with another cab?
Thanks,
Gary |
