How does exactly a footswitch work? I recently tried hooking up my gt8 to my amp's footswitch hole thingy and it worked! So, what are the physics or sumthing. What kind of signal does this involve? Can I use pretty much anything as a footswitch on any amp and it won't damage anything? thx
