| I have a '63 Vibroverb re-issue that needed a new grille cloth. Reverb was working great, I took the speakers and baffle out, removed the reverb tank to clean out the bottom of amp, but did not remove jacks going to/from tank -- after re-assemby the reverb does not work. If you tap on the tank, you get the splashy, reverb sound through the speakers, but it seems the guitar signal no longer passes through the tank. I moved the jacks around assuming there was a short in a connector, but no change. I am stumped --- I need to mention that I did not even take the reverb unit out of its vinyl pouch -- I just gently moved it out of the way, cleaned the dust out, and replaced it. Anyone ?????????? |

That is what usually happens when one of the really fine wires on the coil in the tank breaks connection. Even if you didn't take it out of the bag, you could have shaken it hard enough to break one of those little fragile fellas. Unplug it, take it out of the bag, remove the cover from the bottom and check for a small loose wire. _________________ Yer guitar pickin' friend,
