I have a two channel tube amp and heard that you can plug channel 1 into channel 2 and channel 1 works as an overdrive. Is this true? Seems to me it would work in theory because you can bridge just about any amp it will just be running lower ohms and higher watts. Any info is appreciated.

If you have a Marshall/Tweed Bassman style four input/two channel amp, one is normal, one is bright. Each having a high and low sensitivity. You can jump them together for lots of tonal variations. It works best to jump the low of one into the high of the other.

That's what I have, a Marshall/Tweed Bassman style four input/two channel amp. So what your saying is jump it from low to high from channel 1 to 2 then plug into low on channel 2? But I could do it anyway I wanted and it isn't going to hurt it there is just going to be subtle differences in sound? If so great and thanks for the info!

Yup. You've got it. The way I like it best is to jump the low/bright to the high/normal and plug your guitar into the bright/high. This allows you to blend in some "beef" to the bright channel.
