Hi

How would you line up these effects below in order to get most out of it during live gigs from the guitar to the amp?

Think about reducing the noise from the noisy distorsion pedals by using send /return loop and how about those messy leads on the floor.

I'd like to preserve clean sound with option of using two loops thru the
LS-2 reserved for hard rock/ blues sound!

I'm using Fender / Gibson guitars into Fender THE TWIN amp.

Well start drawing!

Stomp boxes:

BOSS LINE SELECTOR LS-2
BOSS NOISE SUPPRESSOR NS-2
MARSHAL BLUES BREAKER
BOSS HEAVY METAL HM-2
BOSS OVER DRIVE/DISTORSION OS-2
BOSS DIGITAL DELAY DD-3
BOSS CHORUS CE-3
BOSS EQUALIZER GE-7
also
LINE 6 POD XT LIVE

Let me know what would you add and what to get rid of?

The best placement for effects, as far as I see it, is as follows:

guitar---wah---distortion---amp---time-based & modulation effects----speaker

However, that doesn't work for some people, and won't work for your rig. I'd recommend running your eq & od/distortions in front of the amp, and running the delay, chorus, and noise gate in the loop. You can put the equalizer either before the amp, or in the loop. It really depends on how you want to contour the tone.

I have a line-out on my Super Lead, so it allows me to run any effects I'd like to after the amp, whcih works best for time-based & modulation effects. My signal chain works like this:

Guitar---Ibanez Weeping Demon wah---ThroBak Strangemaster treble booster---Marshall Super Lead Plexi re-issue (loudspeaker output going to a 1960A cab)---line-out to DigiTech 2101 Studio Tube preamp---Peavey PV260 power amp---1960AX &1960B cabs

It works out great because the reverb, delay, chorus, flange, etc. is not getting distorted by the preamp & power amp stages of the Marshall, so they sound much more natural. I also use the EQ on the 2101 after the amp to fine-tune the signal.

goes to eleven pretty much nailed the sequence.. but if you arrange them as he suggested and dont really like it, try adjusting the position of your 3 distortion pedals (the order they go into the amp).. im guessing you have your fave on for a crunchie sound and then hit another (or both) for boost/leads? an easy way to look at it is to just line up your pedals and imagine how much drive/volume/eq it will feed to the next.. thats basically why the "correct pedal chain" is what it is.. and yeah, delays, verbs really should always go in the effects loop if you want anything near a natural sound..
