Hey everyone...someone completely new to (but entirely enthusiastic about) DIY electronics here.

I was picking up a nifty little effects processor from someone liquidating his studio and saw this guy sitting in the corner. I'd been thinking a lot about getting into tinkering with my own electronics and trying to actually understand what was going on inside them, so I asked him about it. He said it was a Univox that he bought from someone he knew and that it worked when it was shipped to him but that the transformer got damaged in shipping and that he never had the time or inclination to get it fixed. Now I'm no idiot, and I don't even think this is a Univox, so I offered him $25 to take it out of there. Needless to say, he took it.

I was wondering if anyone can tell anything about this amp just by looking at it...I don't even know what company that little symbol represents. Any help would be appreciated, I'm going to need all I can get. I'm hoping someone can give me a company name so I can write them and ask for some schematics or something...really, anything would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

OK, so apparently I can't post images here because I'm new and they don't want spammers. Understandable. I think I got around that by posting the links to the pictures in my signature, though. If it doesn't work and you're so motivated to help you're bordering on Mother Theresa, I can e-mail you the pictures. Thanks again.

I'm gonna go WAY out on a limb here and guess it's a Montgomery Wards amp. I think they used to call them the "Airline" series?

Hey, thanks for the suggestion. I tried looking around the web for a while, but I didn't turn up anything that looked at all like my amp. I didn't even see any Montgomery Ward amps with the same symbol as mine.

Still, any direction right now is good: at least I can rule some things out. Though it could very well be that I just haven't looked hard enough and there's a schematic out there waiting under the description "Montgomery Ward Airline series." I'm still looking.

Thanks again,
Chris
