My marshall amp started to break down shortly after the warranty ran out which is annoying enough.

Firstly what happened was that the digital effects stopped working but they would come back on if you moved the guitar lead at the input up or down. Thye then stopped working altogether.
Now i can get nothing from the amp at all. When i turn it on it just makes a huge throbing sound. I tried fiddling about and resoldering some joints but since i dont know what im doing its probably a bad idea. Sometimes what i do fixes it but it only works for about a minute until the throbbing sound starts again.

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?

Hey Kolo. I don't know what the problem is but, I've been through 2 MG30DFX amps. The first on started cutting out. It was still under warranty and a got a new one. Now the second one, the effects aren't working right. I would suggest a buying a different brand. I did like the sound, but just not reliable.
