|

i have moved to America from Australia and plan to bring some of my old vintage gear over in a month or so. What do i need to get my amps running over here.. for an example, one of the amps im bringing across is a 1960's Playmaster 60Watt head (tube obviously).. I know i need to step up the U.S voltage from 110vac to 240vac (aussie voltage) with an inverter but am unsure what the rule of thumb is as far as inverter V/A or wattage rating.. whats a safe assumption? 4 times the amps output (ie: 4 x 60 = 240watt inverter?), 8 times? im really unsure about this.. cannot find any info on the current draw of this specific amp, so im kind of lost..
im sure some of you guys have encountered this problem. what did you do?
any help much appreciated..
