Hi my name is Josh. I had my Fender Ultimate solid state diagnosed because it had a lot of static coming out of it, especially when I moved the cord around in the plug. It had been kept in a basement before I owned it and the guy said there was a lot of corosion on the pots? or pods? They would all need replacing. All in all a $300 job. I don't have that kind of money but need m gig amp back, so I thought I could do it myself, since I've taken soldering classes and whatnot.

My question is... where do I get these pots or pods? (He was muffled when he told me, so don't know what exactly they are called.)

And is there a place I can find on the web or something that have directions for replacement?

Any advice would be much appreciated, I'm just kinda in the dark here.

Thank you

They are "pots" and you might be able to get some from here http://www.tubesandmore.com/

I don't see how moving the cord around in the plug making static equals new pots though? What cord are you referring to? Instrument cable or power cable or ????
