Just curious. If my amp has both an 8 ohm and a 4 ohm tap on the output transformer, and I elect to hook up both an 8 ohm and a 4 ohm to their respective taps, what impedance load will the amp be looking at?

Parallel loads will always be less than the lowest number.
I didn't plug in the numbers you have into a formula but it would be less that 4 ohms.

Dont do it, your amp is not designed to have speakers connected like that ! You could damage it.

You need to connect speakers in the proper manner of the correct impedance.
