Blues Jr vs Crate Palomino v16

Anyone compared the two? I'm thinking about a lower wattage amp. These are both about 15 watts, all tube. The Crate is about 100 bucks cheaper.

......i've owned every tube amp fender has made...unfortunately most have disappointed in one way or another--mostly in reliability....i've owned a few crates-and surprisingly enough never had a problem ...........in my experience, for the BJ to be an accepable amp it requires some modding to get a decent tone......i don't know about the V16---however...i did own a palomino V8, running a hoochie mama OD pedal and a line 6 verbzilla, that i used for open mic nite.....never had a problem & always had good sounds....
just my experiences-nothing more...
what are you gonna use this amp for ??...if for at home/small gigs you know i've got a few other thoughts might interest you Wink

Hello Owwda, Merry Christmas!!! Well I have a HRD and a Marshall 30 DFX, I'm thinking about selling both of them and getting a little tube amp about the size of the Marshall. Need the space. The HRD is too much amp for my needs, just playing at home and a deck jam every once in a while. I'm really interested in the Palomino. The other one that caught my eye is the Epi Valve Standard, same wattage, size, with effects.....

I got the Crate. I'm glad I did. It sounds and looks great. And MUCH less money...
