220723 93-0026 01 C12PS C8386-2
I believe they were made in '67. I know they are 12" w/ ceramic magnets and have the red and gold label but I'm not sure about the power handling and impedance. They measure about 3.1 ohms(is this indicative of a problem?) so I'm assuming they are 4 ohm and I have no clue as to the power handling. I haven't been able to find ANY info on the "PS" in the model number. I believe the 220723 indicates Jensen as the maker and the date, and the C12 of course is the nomenclature for the magnet material and size. Can anyone add any wisdom about the rest of the coding? |

| Mort, did you figure out what you have for Jensens? If not I can dig out my spec sheet and see what it says. As you know Ceramic 12" the alpha figure after the 12 denotes it's place in Jensens line. Top was, for ex, C12N then C12P, C12Q and C12R. They go to S amd T too but they aren't very good for amps over a few watts So it's a good speaker. I'm guessing 4ohm is right. I have a 15" from that era that's a Sub wooffer. I'll check it and see if it's got the "S' in the # |

According to Gerald Weber these are Standard Jensens. These are not the Professional or Concert series, which are considered "good" sounding for guitar. I had some P10-S which lasted about 10 minutes in my Bassman, they sounded that bad.
