I have a Boss DD-20 delay unit with left and right outputs for stereo use. I wish to use both my Jr and my SoCal half stack in unison, but when both are plugged in, it's noisy as hell. At first I thought it may be a ground problem, so I put a jumper between the grounds of the input and both output jacks. This was to no avail, so I would like to know whats up...
Am I missing something here, or will i just have to deal with this noise? |

i ran into the same thing when I connected an A/B (which allows you to connect both amps as well) with my Hot Rod Dlx. and my DeVille 410. All I did was to put a 99 cent adapter (that doesn't have the ground wire) and it quieted it right up.

| You are describing a classic "ground loop" problem. There are a couple of ways to get rid of this, first is the 99 cent "ground lift" or a more expensive ground isolator. I believe Ebtech makes one? Try the cheap route first and see if your noise goes away. If it does, you may want to invest in the ground isolator. |
