Greetings,
My first post here. Well met. While visiting my local goodwill in search of records I had to park near the large dumpster where they toss stuff that's not deemed sellable. This amp was there ready to be tossed into the garbage pile. For $9.99 I managed to rescue it from the dump.
What exactly do I have here?
Decca model DMI-69. Made in USA
6CA4 Rectifier (1)
7189 (6BQ5?) (2)
12AX7A (2)
University Loudspeaker ~10.5" Made in USA 25 watt
What little info I could find I think It might be a 25watt bass amp but I'm not sure. I'm powering it up with a light bulb tester. So far so good. My daughter happens to own a bass so that'd be great if is is in fact a bass amp.
Any info would be greatly appreciated
Sorry I can't post pictures yet.
Edit: I added the photos in the website forum thanks!
Edit:Nope newbie here can't post links yet either.
Thanks
Thomas

| I took a look around and all I could find on Decca amps was a couple reviews at harmony central on a similar model number. They seemed to like it's tone but said it didn't have too much volume. Apparently Decca made other electronics and guitars in the 60s. Sounds like a cool little find. Would you mind sending your photo to my email? Just Curious what it looks like. | Looks a little better built than the reviews told it. And that speaker.. any idea what is mounted on the back of it? Definitely interesting |
