| I'm working on a Fender Princeton Chorus 2x10. It's taken a little abuse. I have disconnected and isolated one pair of speaker leads due to a broken mounting plate on the speaker(will repair later). And I have repaired the broken solder joints at both input jacks(nice clean job). This has cut out 75% of the 'noise' but as soon as I plug in an instrument cable I have 100% noise. I'm assuming that I have shorted jacks but but it's the other 25% of noise that concerns me. Any troubleshooting tips? |

| I've repaired a couple more solder posts and installed a new pot on the chorus rate control. This took care of 75% of the 'noise' for good. Getting guitar sound but hazed with noise with background hum. Still thinking I need to replace the inputs. They've been yanked it seems. Are there problems like these common to the Princeton? |
