ext.cab 1x12 or2x12

hi im new to forum. ive got a mesa F 50 combo 1x12witha c90celestion /black shadow, im looking into adding an open back cab. ive got plenty of vol. but i want to spread the sound more.the guy at mesa said a 2x12cab is more one directional than the1x12is this true?i would apreciate any feedback and or other senerios. thanks jry

I have always liked 2x12s much better then 1x12's.
I think they have a fuller sound and you can experiment with
different/mismatched speakers that emphisize different frequencies.
Just one cats opinion.

thanks for the info apreciate it,im kinda leaning towards the 2x12 im just deciding to stick with the mesa black shadows or go with c90'from another manuf. mabey fender or marshall. thanks again jry
