I've got a Mesa F-30 that started making a crackling static sound a few weeks ago. I checked the tubes and one was glowing orange all the way through. I replaced both tubes with JJ EL-84 6BQ5. At first it seemed to fix the problem, but after about 20 minutes, the noise returned. The noise happens through either channel and does not stop or break while switching channels. When muted, the sound does not come through headphones.
Any ideas? |
