I found one of these amps in rather ratty shape is it worth fixing up? It needs Tolex, grill cloth, and likely a speaker with a tube (6x6L6) change.
It's $400 out the door. I heard that these make killer guitar amps. If it's worth fixing for its sound and power I'll get it. I could use a "portable" powerful combo amp even if it is only suitable as a bass amp.
Does anyone HAVE one of these?
Thanks,
Gary |

--don't have one---and at that price i don't see why anyone would want one
lets see: $400. PLUS anywhere from 50 to 200 bucks for a decent speaker--aprx. $25. for tolex--same for grillcloth--time & labor involved to do the repairs.....not to mention the electrics will probably need updating as well............hmmmmm..........5 to 7 hundred bucks for an amp that you don't even have an idea what it will sound like......doesn't sound like a good plan to me......take that money & buy yourself a decent modern amp ....good luck & let us know the outcome _________________ ~T~...Live a little >crank it up< ...
