Has anyone come across this wierd sound from their Fender amp as the note decays? As a note, especially a low note fades away, it converts from the expected guitar sound to what is best described as a synth sound.
I have replaced all the tubes, and capacitors in the filter section and still the sound persists. Not noticable at normal levels. I am plugging the Strat straight into the 1963 Fender Concert.

...never had that happen....it might be time to carry it on down to your local amp doctor. _________________ ~T~...Live a little >crank it up< ...

Thanks mate. I haven't heard an amp sound like this in 30 years of playing.
As a reformed electronics engineer, I would have tio admit defeat before taking it to a tech. I haven't been defeated by any problem yet. But this one has me stumped. |
