| I do not own those model amps but i have playd them, and heard them before and they do have a very nice sound in their own way. Reviews I read on them says they have acceptional reliability, there was not really any frequent problems. New tubes could help the bright problem a little bit but I think it is just the nature of those amps. I hate to state the obvious but just roll off the treble a little bit, or maybe the tone knob on your gutiar to round out the top end just a little bit. If you feel like changing the speaker to a less trebley one that could also help. Or you cna buy a 100ft guitar cable this will degrade your signal and make you lose the treble frequencies (lol im joking about that one, it would work, but dont do that it would be stupid)....lol goodluck, enjoy your amps. |

I retubed parts of the Club 30amp with new JJ el84 output tubes and a Tungsol and JJ 12ax7 in A1 and A2, this stopped the bright sound (which kinda had no tone either) and made it obtain acceptable darkness...adding more harmonics as well...A+ and retubed the Club 20 with JJ outs and electro harmonix 12ax7 pres...works for what Im doing (recording)..thanks
The Club 20 is a overdrive MONSTER at 20watts RMS, not alot of cleans |

| cool glad to hear you worked it all out with your tube amps. JJ Tubes are great tubes, I actually need to pick up a pair for my Fender Blues Junior. |
