The title says it all. I'm planning on selling this on e-bay and want confirmation of what it is. I found this site ...
http://www.olywa.net/blame/mar/date1.htm
to help me backtrack the unit by it's serial #, but my number didn't jive with what is stamped on my head.
Model......2205
Serial #.......AS 00282 LEAD
Also on the inside of the head there is a sticker with a hand written date and name which reads.......
27-9-82 Carol
Can any of you expects give me any insite into this?
Thanks
Chuck |

Why would you want to sell it?? Oh well, the 1982 model year should have a "P" somewhere in the serial number, but they may have serialed the anniversary models with their own numbers. Anyway, I don't believe the 2205 was included in the 20th Anniversary line, which were produced in 1982. The 2205 & 2210 heads weren't introduced until 1983, putting them a bit late for the anniversary amps. That's what I know of things, but why not e-mail Marshall for some clarification?

I don't really play anymore and could use the cash for other hobbies that I've found myself in. Good idea about e-mailing them and I did just that. I'll post their response once I hear back from them.

Here is the e-mail I sent Marshall.........
Can you please help me identify a head I purchased at Lasalle Music West Hartford, CT. USA back in the early 80's.
-Model 2205
-Serial # AS 00282 LEAD
-There is also a sticker on the inside on the head, in hand writing says "27-9-82 Carol"
-The unit is White in color
Is this a twetieth anniversay unit?
Can you give me some info on the "AS" in the serial #
Thanks in advance for you response.
Chuck
Here is the response from Marshall.............
Hello,
The “AS” indicates that it’s in fact an Anniversary Series. Marshall was started in 1962 so 1982 is the 20th anniversary and there was a run of white JCM800’s. This one is a channel-switching 50 watter.
Carol is most likely the person that signed off on the head before it was shipped.
