Hi you,

for me it's time to look for a new amp.
I thought a marshall is the best choice, but i have not really an idea of a special model.
Of course the best way would be to go into an amp store and test it.
But maybe i can get here some preliminary informations here .

my guitar is a no name so long, but should become a gibson les paul,
but first i need a amp, which is then also compatible with the les paul.

We play melodic punk rock... to describe the sound: somewhere between bad religion and against me...

It would be great to get some infos or experiences!

best regards
Tom

Marshall will definitely be your best choice. Marshall and Gibson are like bread and butter. I just bought my first Marshall not too long ago (VS100) and I love it! If you can afford it, buy a tube amp. If you're like me and can't afford it, then go with a hybrid model...AVT, or the VS models. I found mine on eBay and paid $183 for it! It has some cosmetic issues, but nothing that affects the sound and nothing that can't be replaced easily. Hope this helps.

For punk, you can't go wrong with one of the Master Volume models, either the 2203 100-watt or 2204 50-watt heads. Any model range, from the JMPs of 1975-1981 to the JCM800s of 1981-1990 (although the pre-1986 JCM800s are the better of that line), will work very well for punk. Check out Ebay.
