i just recently picked up an mg100 series half stack and this is the first stack I've owned. I was wondering if its a bad idea to simply plug the headphones into the front headphone jack on the head and leave the speaker/cabinet unhooked up to it so i can just play quietly in my room without disturbing my roomates. probably not good for it right?

Thanks.

nevermind, it says it right on the back of the head "CONNECT LOUDSPEAKERS BEFORE USE." I'm an idiot. wish i had read that before. what kind of damage could possibly have happened from me doing it?

Not having the head hooked up to a cab can fry the transformer, among other things. The longer you allow it to happen, the more likely that you'll damage the head.

Well, it wouldn't do anything if you had the Headphones in but. Turning it on without headphones or cabinets can damage it.
