| My Marshall AVT150H halfstack has a buzz in the transformer. The wire is grounded, no lights are on, nothing is plugged into the amp ,and i still cant get it to go away. I can still play through the amp so the transformer works and I do not play loud so I cnt understand it being blown out. Someone please post your knowledge on this topic for me |

First try something simple and cheap. It sounds like a ground lift problem to me. I assume your amp has a three blade grounded plug. If it does, go to Radio Shack and buy one of those little grey adaptors for plugging a three blade plug into a two blade outlet and plug it in through that. If I'm right, your problem is solved. Other things to look for: close to neon lights, dimmer switch, TV, computer, microwave? Transformers don't buzz, by the way. _________________ Yer guitar pickin' friend,

| Hey thankyou for your reply i appreciate it. The amp seems to buzz in intervals. Maybe it is a overheating problem. I have tried the things you mentioned, but they didn't seem to make a diffrence. |

I would suggest taking to a tech, then. If it's a ground problem, you could get zapped, and seriously; and if it is something else, expensive failure may be imminent. This problem is a symptom, and the longer it remains, the more damage it can do. _________________ Yer guitar pickin' friend,
