| I just bought a Tube 10 hoping to use as a clean tube background for an effects unit. Trouble is there no clean! Would I be wasting my time getting a new speaker and tubes for it or should I just get another amp? I've heard others say that those mods improve the overall sound quality but I've never heard the clean sound addressed specifically. Thanks. |

| If you have access to some different pre-amp tubes, try a 12AU7 first to clean it up a bit. If that's too much distortion still, try a 12AT7 or 12AV7. |
