if I plug in through 'input' the sound is really quiet. something wrong Sad
if I plug in through 'return' sound is fine.

any ideas what the problem might be and how i could fix it?
thank you!

also, any idea about how much this amp would be worth if I fix it - would help me decide whether its worth it. She in mint condition other than the problem I described...

well considering if i remove my preamp valve and let the amp run, the sound is very quiet, so it could be a preamp valve fault? It probabyl isnt, because if your preamp valve is faulty then it will start squealing, so maybe the soldering(connection) in the input path is loosened, eitherways it does not sound like a costly job at all.
