Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum but hopefully someone can help me out. I've been playing on the cheap for 30 years, with a cheap LP copy, into which I put some DiMarzio Supe-Distortion Humbuckers (1978), and played through a Carlsbro Stingray 100W combo. Recently bought a Peavey Rotor EXP - which sounds great, but didn't really cut it. So I decided to spend some dosh and bought a LP standard - Root Beer - looks gorgeous, but did not give a great sound through the Carlbro, so I bought a JCM900 4101 DSL 100W combo and 1922 extension cabinet. Now this is the real deal - should have done it 29 years ago!

Anyhow, I have a query regarding the impedance of the speakers. The JCM900 combo has a single G12T75, and the 1922 has 2 of these. The 1922 is rated at 8 ohm (mono - 150W), but I don't know what the impedance of JCM900's speaker is. When I got the amp (second hand), the switch was set at 4 (16), whcih I believe on the combo means 4 ohms. But how can I be sure that this is the impedance of the internal speaker? Also, if it is correct at 4 ohms, then does htis mean I can't run both the internal and extension cabinet at the same time, since I can';t select both 4 and 8 ohms.

Any thoughts, anyone?

Thanks,
