| Hey guys! I’ve been having major troubles with my Marshall TSL 100 that I bought about a month and a half ago. At first, my footswitch had started to act up about two weeks ago as it wouldn‘t change channels between clean/distortion (brought it back to the store since its still under warranty and they should be sending it back to Marshall). Well, around the same time my TSL 100 head started acting up as well. Please keep in mind that I always operate and store my equipment properly. Ex. Proper temperature environment, warming up the tubes and constantly taking care/handling of equipment meticulously. Although, I’ve noticed that the head creates a static type noise and produces loud crackles when not playing (stand by is off and tubes are warmed up). My fellow band mates and I believe that something is wrong with the tubes, if not the electronics inside (obviously). Because it seems as the tubes get hotter, then the worse/louder the noises are. In addition, these noises are still produced as soon as I switch the head on. We’ve switched instrument chords, guitars (inputs) and everything else that we could possibly think besides opening up the head itself. The problem is not the cab because we've tried hooking up my TSL 100 head with other cabs and the problem still remains. I’ve spoken with the salesman at the store (friend of mine) and was told that he’s never seen a case like this. It seems as if the head/footswitch is a lemon, but I was trying to find out if anyone has or had any similar experiences. I’m bringing the head back to the shop this week. The salesman said they’ll try fixing it at the shop or send it away for a repair or have Marshall label my current head as a defect and send me a completely new TSL 100 head. Let me know what everything things the problem is and/or what I could or should do about the problem. Take care. |

| Most likely faulty tube......tubes in a tube amp are usually a very good place to to start when you are experiencing problems.,,,,About the faulty footswitch....certain model marshall footdwitches are complained about in different forums a lot. It is common for them to not work properly at times. |
