I've got a Vox 30 Twin Reverb, probably a 2001. I'm the second owner, and I know the first treated it well.

I like the amp, especially for the price...but only for the first half hour of playing.

After a half-hour or so above half-volume, the amp gets quiet and starts sounding very poor. I've read that this is a probably a problem with the cathode resistor in the tube preamp.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what a cathode resistor is, or how to go about fixing it.

Any advice would be incredibly helpful. Thanks ya'll.
