hey peoples!
its my first post and just wanna say that this is a great board.
well my question concerns my traynor YGL III head 100 watter. its ohmage is currently @ 4 ohms. ive been thinking about getting 2x12 for this from avatar. the problems is that i also own a blues jr. and pro jr, which are @ 8ohms, and i would like the extension cab to be usable for all three amps. If i have a tech modify the traynor to 8ohms will this effect the tone in any way. will it cause any problems in the future? or should i just leave it as is?
appreciate any responses
thanks

| Wouldn't buying a cabinet that supports both ohm ratings be much easier than modifying the amp? |

Hi
I know you don't want this answer but your better off just getting 2 cabs. Otherwise your going to have to pay for an output transformer change.
Or bite the bullet and have a 4-8-16 ohm OT put in.
