Hi
Last week i bought a boss GT8. The Gt8 has a feature where you can change teh channel on your amp from the GT8. The only prblem with this is that is is a 1/4" jack output for from the GT8.
So i some how need to make something that goes form the jack output of the GT8 to the 6pin TSL. I am looking to simulate the crunch switch so i can switch between lead and crunch.
Is it just as simple as finding which pin is wired to the crunch switch on theTSL 6pin Din and and making up a jack to 6 pin din lead?
But when i opened up my footswitch for a look, there seems to be a circuit board, so am i going to have to bulid a small circuit that will simulate the crunch switch and have that between my gt8 and tsl?
If anyone could help me out with this please let me know.
Thanks

some of these posts are hilarious. that FX loops one is a favourite of mine.
OK, basically you cant do what you want to do. i'd jus stick to 2 footswitches/pedalboards. If you want one central unit from which you can control all effects/channels, and you willing to spend, get a professional to build you a MIDI rig, where everything is routed to a central unit and controlled by a single MIDI foot controller. |

o yeah by the way, the 1/4 jack is an analogue device which many other amps use (DSL, Orange etc.) and the Marshall footswtich is a digtal device. SO they dont mix basically.
Have fun! |

Cheers for the advice,
Although after asking around some more i was told this was possible and now i've actually managed to make up a 1/4" jack to 6 pin din lead which allows me to hook up the GT-8 and the TSL and switch channels remotely from the GT8, this was done with the advice of Dr. Tube!
www.drtube.com - Cheers mate!
Its based on the same lead that you can use with a TC electronic G-major, as this has external amp control as well. Now i can program channel changes (from lead to crunch) within my presets on the boss! magic!
Hope this helps anyone else that may be looking how to do this, if anyone wants the pin layout of the cable just give me a shout.
