|
|
| So I just ordered the Alnico Blue Back speakers from warehouse speakers after some good word of mouth about the site in general. I want to push my sound in that general voxy sparkle and figured these would be a step in the right direction but there rated at 15 watts a piece and my power amp (rack rig) is putting out 20watts each from my mesa 20/20. Would someone share with me the pros' and cons of this kind of setup and if its even a good idea. Any thoughts or adive would be much appreciated. I almost never turn the power amp up past half. I wish they made a smaller version of the 20/20 except more like 5 or 10 watts. Like two valve juniors in a rack. Anyway thats a whole thread / tangent of its own. Thanks for reading. |

Hey there firstpenguin. Just to clarify, you are running one speaker per
channel? To be honest, I think you are cutting it too close. Maybe the
speakers are conservatively rated regarding their power handling capabilities
and you can get by with it? If I were you, I'd email speakerwarehouse
and ask them (preferably before they ship the order??)
Thats one persons thoughts on the matter.
