| I just replaced the 12ax7 in my Marshall AVT20 thinking that it was the source of the buzz, but it is still very present. It seems to go away if i touch the pickups or the input jack. Any ideas on the problem? |

It sounds liek it could be a possible grounding problem in your guitar. Its no big project or anything, but it sounds to me that this may be your possible problem. The AVT20 is a great smaller combo and very reliable.
I personally own an AVT50 and love, i think the AVT line is a good balance of good tone and price. They are reliable amps as well. Best of luck
Also extreme buzzing can be expected from your surroundings such as computer monitors or flourecent lights....these will give you a higher chance of hearing that annoying 60-cycle hum. So turn off your monitor if oyu are playing near it. or turn off the flourecent lights. |
