so i just bought a lead 100 mosfet for 40 bucks and something is wrong i think its a transistor if anyone can tell me please get back to me

That's a bit sketchy. What exactly is the amp doing or not doing?

well you cant turn the volume up past like 6 without a LOUD screech. the distortion channel works fine except for the volume but the clean channel isnt clean at all. the guy i bought it from says its a 10 dollar fix but im not sure what the fix is. the guy said he thought it was a transistor.
