Hmmmmmmm....you're right |
the reason is my list changes so very often--sometimes weekly ....seriously....i'm so addicted to the buying & selling that at any given time i post a list , that list has changed within a few days time...but i guess i do have a few select pieces of gear that don't leave the stable i could consider as definate keepers........so here they are in no particular order as of April '07 >>>
AMPS & CABINETS:
1963 Fender brownface Princeton
Carr Mercury
Frenzell FM-5E1 Champ Plus head
Gerhardt Gilmore jr. head
Epiphone Valve jr head-slightly modded
UltraSound AG50 DS3 acoustic amp
custom-bilt, oversized, livingroom furniture quality 1X15 cab
LopoLine 1X12 cab
LopoLine 2X12 cab
GUITARS:
Antonio Loriente Angela classical
Morgan Monroe Creekside MV-01 acoustic
Taylor T5 Standard-spruce honeyburst
Gibson Les Paul standard doublecut plus-blue midnightburst--highly modded
2005 Fender Deluxe Nashville Telecaster-honey blonde/maple neck--highly modded
2006 Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster-desert sand/maple neck--slightly modded
....of course there are a couple pedals i swear by...such as the Line 6 Verbzilla reverb pedal and a Danelectro Fish and Chips 7 Band EQ Pedal (a $30.00 secret steal wonder for shaping your sound).....not to mention the various mics, cables, stands, etc....etc...
this list was also quite different while i was still gigging-i liked amps in the 18 watt range-now that i'm not, i no longer have anything as an at home player above 10 watts (which i hardly ever play anymore, so that may be on the selling block soon too !!)---i prefer 2 to 5 watts now.
i won't get into my collector amps & guitars--thats private info stuff
the list of amps & guitars i've owned & sold just in the last few years amazes even me
So there you have it ....those are pretty much what i would consider my "keepers".....for now anyhow |
WELLLLLLLLLL......things have changed again so its time to update the list.....Jan. 27-'08...
...for right now the amps are the same...with the addition of an Emory MicroBaby head...and a Revelation Selena head ---oh, and a cool Vox AmPlug
-also got an MXR 10 band EQ pedal--(the Danelectro 7 band EQ is now a permanent attachment to the Epi Vjr head)
the guitar list is the big change .....
-gone is the Antonio Loriente Angela classical.
-gone is the Taylor T5 Standard-----replaced with a Taylor T5 C2 Koa.
-gone is the Fender Classic Player Baja Tele.....a gift to my best friends son. ---an excellant axe...
-gone is the Gibby doublecut to a great female guitarist gigging in Myrtle Beach.---really miss this one...
-keeping the '05 Fender Deluxe Nashville Tele...but a new neck is on the way from USA custom guitar.
got a 2007 Washburn WB400 baby jumbo--a great fun playing acoustic |
ANOTHER UPDATE ...May 12-'08 ......
AMPS/CABS:
a slight change...
got a new LOPOLINE 2x12 vertical cab to pair with the Emory Microbaby...
sold the Frenzell Champ plus head...loved it but don't use it anymore...
sold the Revelation Selena...loved it but it duplicated stuff i already have...
the Gerhardt Gilmore jr head is now housed in a wonderful 1x12 combo cab they sell special made just for it...
GUITARS:
pretty much the same...
the Nashville tele has its new neck on & now with all its mods, it is perfect...
got a Vox Virage guitar on order--should have soon--can hardly wait...
thats it for now ...i'm not expecting to change this bunch...its pretty much my ideal gear after all these years of buying/selling/trading/gigging & now NOT gigging & thinning down the herd---i'm more than happy/satisfied with these choices as each & every one is perfect for my wants & needs nowadays
hmmmmm.....now that i'm not buying gear, i think i'll get me a new boat _________________ ~T~...Live a little >crank it up< ...

You know owwdatune, I just have to share this.
My father-in-law has told me on more then one occasion...
"There's 3 things in this world you should never buy. A horse, a boat,
or someone else's pain in the *Horse's Patoot*"
(keep in mind, he never told me this during the period of time he owned
a boat) |

|
|
My name is James and I am a new guitar player but I've been playing bass for about 16 years.
My equipment list is:
Bass= Squier Precision with Jazz pickup mod (fitted it myself when I was 16)
Bass Amp= Hartke HA3500 (beautiful sound)
Guitar= Squier Tele Custom
Guitar Amp= Custom Sound CUB100 Bi-channel MOSFET
Which brings me to my question. Does anyone know anything about this amp because it's got a great big hole in the main PCB where the track has burnt out. I am trying to find the original circuit diagrams otherwise I'll have to figure out what's going on from generic mosfet schematics.
Please help
All the best, guys,
James |

Errr....
I am not going to list the equipment, because my GAS means it would take far too long.
Suffice to say, a lot of stuff.
I'll probably post some photos of the amps on here soon though.... |

ANOTHER UPDATE:..09/13/08..
...a fresh change of lifestyle/habitat/location necessitates a change of gear selection......
-cancelled the Vox Virage--won't have a use for it & space is an issue..
-traded the UltraSound AG50 acoustic amp & got a new Fishman SoloAmp...will be better suited for the space available..
-sold off most of the high end collectibles..
-keeping everything else-just most will be landlocked..
-going with me to cover my acoustic needs will be: ..the SoloAmp--the Washburn WB40 and the Morgan Monroe Creekside MV-01..
-electric needs should be covered quite well with the recently completed Gilmore jr. combo, paired with my soon to be completed custom-bilt Hawk guitar..Verbzilla & Hoochie Mamma pedals and the MXR 10 band EQ.
thats it--- i really don't see anything changing since this fits the new lifestyle perfectly..
--Ohhh...i did pick up a new Mack Heatseeker 18 watt head.....really great sounds...don't know what i'll do with it but the darn thing sounded so wonderful i couldn't walk away from it.. ....I guess if i need something with great tone to gig with again, i'll have it .....i really need to quit listening to any more amps !!!!! _________________ ~T~...Live a little >crank it up< ...

owwdatune - your updated prompted my update.. although I don't go through
NEAR the equipment as you.
guitars:
Les paul mahogany studio (still)
a different custom made strat copy (then last time)
a tacoma acoustic guitar (still)
My amp is a Fender hotrod deluxe using a 2x12 cab (settled & happy)
(I have 'project amps', but they don't count as I won't keep them)
I still use & love my boomerang loooper, and a few pedals - although I'm
still jazzed about my BBE green screamer - I've had it for a while and it
still sounds great.
Not much has changed..... a guitar here, an amp there.... I'm boring but
happy
p.s. - although I plan on pretty soon trying out a 3x12 tower cab.. we'll see. |
