| Just bought a Peavey 600 Of coarse it dosnt work!I took it all apart and cleaned all the pots and eq sliders. I still only get distorted sound when its turned all the way up. No sound at all when its not on way load settings. Any info to help? |

| I am assuming this is a tube.... When your turnging a tube amp up ALL the way you are driving the tubes at their peaks so you get a distortion effect. Most guitarists try to get this sound. Is this what your talking about ? or is an undesirable sound? How many watts is the amp? How loud do you put it at? You may have also blown a speaker - coudl be very likely in the way you described your situation. |

| Its a xr-600. No the speakers are ok. Distorted way bad ( can hardly understand the words) although the units turned up its not very loud. |
