Hello forgot to post something. I just purchased this amp and i love it. But i have heard from a lot of people that it runs very hot, and it does. I talked to someone that does work on amps, and he said it would be wise to have a fan put in it so it is always cooling, and he said that would save some repairs in the future? It this a hard thing to do. Anyone have any info>?

it would not be extremely hard to do. A quiet fan that could help would be a cumpter fan. They r typicaly very efficient and quiet. I have a Marshall AVT50 that came with a small tiny fan inside the unit to keep it cool, but i replaced it with a much bigger computer fan so now it has plenty of cooling in it (after an hour or so the AVT50 tends to get really warns o i play it safe)

i do the same with my tube amps--a little cooling goes a long way & a computer fan works great--you can get them at Best Buy or Radio Shack etc.... Very Happy

Just picked one up for my son for 179$. Nice price for a cool little tube head. I noticed it ran hot and immediately installed a radio shack 120 volt computer fan in it. Hooked it up with its own switch in the back so it can be turned on or off. Runs way cooler now! Easy to do. Wink
