i have the jcm 900 50 watt combo..when i put my boss dd3 delay pedal in front, it sounds crappy(Thats a given) so when i put it correctly in the effects loop, i get this crazy sounding fuzz on the first repeat..when i use the hold option on the pedal(pick a note and press the pedal down, it repeats that note until u let off pedal) alls i get is a fuzz and no noticable sound of a note each time until i let it go..i have tried adjusting the gain on the effects loop to all possible combos, and nothing..when i try the delay pedal in clean however, it works fine, when i have the amp in overdrive, it gives me the problem Crying or Very sad help please!! Crying or Very sad

Actually, the loop isn't really the correct place for a delay either. You're getting the odd sounds because the power stage of the amp is distorting the delay. That's why delays/reverbs sound so poor through the front of the amp; you're distorting the delayed signal as opposed to adding delay to the already-distorted signal after the power stage. It's just a difference of what's distorting the signal. It sounds okay clean because nothing is clipping it.
