Hi All,
28 years ago I picked up the chassis and speaker for a Model 26 Deluxe amp (for those unfamiliar with this amp, it was the first amp ever produced by the Fender Electric Instrument Company back in 1946. It had a finished wood cabinet and was called a "Woodie"). Back in 1985, there was little or no available information on old amps, so I had a cabinet maker build a typical black Fender-style cabinet. It was a cool little amp, played OK, but I never used it much.
20 years and several moves later, it isn't working anymore. I have no idea why. Could be a loose wire, busted tube, whatever. I'd like to sell it as-is to some one who would appreciate it and restore it back to its former glory.
My questions are: Where should a advertise this very rare item? Where can I find a reasonable valuation? How can I maximize my return on this once-in-a-lifetime sale?
Any help/comments would be appreciated. I can be contacted directly at <four[remove this text]chimney@yahoo.com>.
There are a few pics below.
Thanks,
Mike James
