so i got a marshall mg100hdfx head, solid state of course, and the problem is that when i turn it on, there's no sound. if i turn it up all the way, i can hear a little volume, but i can't get anything more. i've been told it could be the transformer, but i have no idea. any ideas?

More likely one of the output transistors blown. If your not savvy with electronics best take it to a tech.
