Does anyone have the new custom shop Vibroverb. And what if you do, what do you think of it. Is it as good as it's cracked up to be in the press?
I do have one but would like to hear your take on it.

Silvafish, how about some more info on that Custom Shop Vibroverb? I went to a website and looked it over. A little research shows the circuits have been changed somewhat. I'd love to have one, but that's a little above my pay grade. |

You're right it is a little expensive. But I have to say I have no regrets. It has the SRV/Diaz mod which I think makes the amp unruly and wooly. I like the more traditional setting but then I always paid more attention to Jimmy Vaughan than to Stevie Ray. Eventually I might try to find an older speaker for it, the 15 inch Eminence is a bit spiky and I think will take a lot of breaking in. The quality of the workmanship is faultless I even like having the diode rectifiers in there because if the tube 5AR4 or GZ34 fails the diodes will keep the amp lit. The Reverb and Vibrato (Tremolo) are luscious and the amp has a nice soft clip when pushed. It is a bit loud to get it to really scream but in my opinion that's not what these amps are about. I found it lacking in bottom end a bit, but when I plug my old Marshall 4 x 10 into it, it's huge the 15 compliments the 10s just fine. As much I like the Eminence just don't think it's the speaker for this amp. I'll see how it goes.
