Ive got the marshall MF350 and i went to plug in and play and at the time i didn't realize that for some reason the solo level was way up, so as soon as i turned it on i got a lot of feedback and then pop!! everything shut off and i could smell something burnt. I pulled the chassis out to look to see what happened and the only thing that i could see was the blown fuse, so i replaced the fuse and as soon as i plug the power cord into the head i see a little white flickr and a very small amount of smoke and another blown fuse. What is the problem? i know very little about repairing amps so any help at all is greatly appreciated.

Sorry, but when they blow, they don't mess around. You are looking at 4 output modules minimum. They are around $50/ea. My advice is to move on.

What I mean is you are going to spend a minimum of $200 on an amp that is worth used a maximum of $400. Just think about how much you like the amp before you sink the $$ into it. And remember, this will probably happen again sometime if you do fix it. I am really sorry to say these amps are money pits.

okay i get what your saying, im just going to pay to get it fixed. Ive been playing with the mode 4 half stack for almost 5 years now and ive never had a problem with it until now, and this problem should have been avoided.

Just make sure the fans are clean, running at full RMP, and have enough space behind them for proper airflow. Sorry to be a downer.
