OK, I have a few Fender Amps, A Hot Rod Deluxe and a Blues Junior. Both are a few years old and clearly say "Made in U.S.A." on the serial number plate. I noticed in the music store yesterday that the new Blues Juniors are now made in Mexico. I was thinking about getting a Vintage Reissue amp so I looked at them all (Deluxe Reverb, Twin Reverb. . .). All they say is that the amps are "A Product of Fender Instrument Co., Corona California." What in the heck does that mean? Is it American made or just a way of obscuring the fact that some of their priciest amps are made in Mexico? Enlightenment is appreciated.

It burns my butt when companys get cute like that. If it don't say "Made in the U.S.A., it ain't. Somewhere on the amp it will say where it's made. They also get real cute about sticking a tiny sticker in some out of the way spot that tells where it's made. I guess this satisfies the legal requirement.

If it says Made in America and was bought before 2001, it was made in USA.
