Hi, last year I bought a Marshall G50R CD used on ebay and I've been using it since.

Anyways, my issues, First ever since I originally got it, I had this very random issue that would occur about once every couple months where my aims volume is turned up but it is very quiet, after a few minutes of adjusting the volume nob it eventually comes back to normal. I read on here, it could possibly be a bad output transformer.

My other issue bothers me more. I don't know if the amp is supposed to sound like this or if it has something wrong with it but when i use the overdrive channel my distortion is very buzzy. For a while, I just used a multi-effect processor to cover it up and I ignored it till I recently bought a Boss DS-1 and with the pedal I still get the terrible buzzy distortion. I tried the pedal on my brothers amp and it sounded fine so i know there is nothing wrong with that.

If anyone has any ideas on what the problem is or how to fix it I could really use the help.

My JCM 800 had a similar issue. Sounds would fade up and down in volume and buzz would come and go, fiddle with the volume knob and eventually it would clear up.
I changed out the volume pot and it not only cleared up those problems but the amp sounded much better.
I had been playing on a great amp with a poor sound but thats fixed now and the amp kicks *Ay Matey, Watch 'Yer Language Or Ye Be Swabbin' The Deck*.
