i came back from four year in the corps only to find my marshall head all jacked up. i turn it on, and it plays, but even with the volume cranked it is very very quiet. anyone know what the problem might be? fuse perhaps? this sucker was LOUD when i used it in the past and now its a dull whisper. HELP Surprised

Hey there. I can say for sure its not the fuse, as if it were, it wouldn't
even turn on. Now, I'm not saying it IS, but what you described sounds
just like an output transformer going bad. BUT, that one is a solid state
amp, right? So maybe the same rules don't apply. If I were you, and if
you havn't tried it already, simplify all the connects (remove any and all
effects), try different cables, just in an effort to isolate the problem. If you
are sure its the amp, and no cables or anything else, since its solid state,
I would suspect that a fix would be out of your reach if you are not
knowedgable about such curcuits. Sorry I don't have a fantastic solution for you.
