I have a new les paul standard with burstbucker pro pickups, I don't like the sound I am getting with my Soldano atomic 16. I am leaning towards a plexi reissue head with a 4x12 cab and a power brake. Has anyone tried this combo, i'm trying to get that Jimmy Page violin like tone. A big bottom end with mids and highs that really cut through. Thanks!

page used a fender champ on alot of stuff in the studio ... live its just marshalll up full and dig in .. oh and the 59 les paul helped too . I had a good immigrant song tone with a pair of 6l6 tubes pushing a pair of 12 inch etones in a closed cab ...nice woody knock ...pretty loud tooo
