My amp has all the blackface specs...and the transformers and speakers codes indicate that they're from 66-68...on the tube chart there aren't any stamps on it so it doesnt help at all...Now here's the question?...How can I tell from the circuit that its a AB763 and not the AB568 or AA763...Now I found the schematics at ampwares but I can't read that stuff!!...Isn't there an easy way to tell just by looking inside the chassis?...can somebody help me please!!! I've been trying to find out what circuit it is but I I'm stuck...The codes tell me the year but not what circuit it is...I'll post a pis soon.
Thanks,
Mauro |

On the inside of the amp cabinet on the right side panel should be a tube chart. At the bottom of that chart will be two stamped on letters (If it is a real blackface made before '68!). Those two letters will tell you the month and year the amp was built. _________________ Yer guitar pickin' friend,

| Well maybe it isn't a blackface because it has parts from 68...but it might have the ab763 circuit which wasn't changed until the later half of 68...so how can I tell if its that circuit? |

No stamps on the tube chart means '68 or later. If it was a '68 it would be a silverface with aluminum trim when new. Is the face plate a blackface? what color is the grillecloth? Does it have the aluminum edging on the grillecloth? _________________ Yer guitar pickin' friend,
