| Hello viewers, looking to purchase marshall amp ,could anyone recommend anything for acdc type rock/blues and 80s rock . nothing to metal just super clean with mega crunch. valve combo or stack? heard theres some nasty combos out there. Cheers Chris |

| I just bought the marshall vintage modern 2466 100 watt head, so far I think it is great sounding and quite versatile. Looks like your looking for the same kind of amp i was looking for, 70-80's rock sounding. Slash is using it, to givr you an idea of what it sounds like. Hope this helps. |

| if for home and small clubs a 50 watt comba is great (ive a jcm 800 50w combo) BUT fer louder bands and more volume a 50 watt head and 4 12 cab is about the best thing,... I just bought a jcm 900 head for a little more modern /crunch sounds great as well. the 50 has 6550's and the 100 has EL 34's both sound great! |
