Hi Everyone,

I am looking to buy a decent practice amp for bass and can only find cruddy little solid state ones that sound like I'm playing through my car radio (a cheap and nasty one). Anyone have any ideas about what is a good sounding little combo? - doesn't need to be loud because it is just for home practice. I am tossing up whether to buy an old little tube guitar amp because for the money they sound nicer and Warmer(I hate that word) than any little bass amps I've tried. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've been told a good practice amp is the old Roland Cube-60. Anyone have any experience with these? Confused

Fender Bassman 25 from the new series. 25watt tiltback with a 10". Best sounding bass practice amp I've ever heard. Can't handle a low B all that well, but is nice and punchy otherwise.

gastr, I wonder what the Rockman Bass Ace is like? I have an X-100 Rockman that I used to use when living in motels while working out of town. The sound is good for solid state, and it sure don't bother the neighbors.
